Pan European Networks: Government
The governments of the nation states of Europe and the
European Commission are the central points of funding and assistance for all of
the public sectors; including education, health, defence and transport to name
but a few. How can they best evaluate projects and new research if they are
unaware of the potential that Europe holds? It is crucial that the
dissemination from each of the sectors reaches the correct people who
ultimately have the power to allocate funding or formulate policy change. Pan
European Networks: Government has been designed specifically, with its
extensive distribution, to make sure that the ‘people in the know’ remain ‘in
the know’.
We will showcase the latest political developments, policy changes and decisions that will impact at the operational level of local, regional, national and European government. This will help facilitate an easy dialogue between both the public and private sectors across Europe and in turn provide a platform in which leading figures from Europe can discuss and promote projects, funding opportunities, research, products and services.
Recent contributors include:
José Manuel Barroso – President of the European Commission
Günther Oettinger – European Commissioner for Energy
Janez Potočnik – European Commissioner for the Environment
Androulla Vassiliou – European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth
Charles Hendry – UK Minister for Energy
Nicolai Wammen – Danish Minister for European Affairs
Ida Auken – Danish Minister for the Environment
Lord Tony Berkeley – former president, European Rail Freight Association
Ulrich Schulte-Strathaus – Secretary-general of the Association of European Airlines
Álvaro de Vasconcelos – Director of the European Union’s Institute for Security Studies
